Slovenia is a largely undiscovered country in South Central Europe. The Julian Alps are in the North of the country and the Adriatic Coast is on the South West. There is some beautiful scenery in Slovenia, including a karst region as well as lakeside resorts. Half the country is covered in forest. Slovenia has some wonderful ski resorts and is often cited as the inventor of skiing. For a well-rounded trip in Slovenia, car hire is a good choice.
